there were two people who met, fell in love and got married. Instead of presents, they asked for help honeymooning in Italy. This is our site all about our families adventure. We hope it will inspire you to love Italy just as much we do!

We are simple country folk and we got tired of all the exciting city life. A couple of us were feeling a little ill so we asked Pina to cancel our next scheduled itinerary stop and find us a nice place in the country to have a picnic. We found a nice place in the country to settle down and eat some Mozzarella, Olives and Bread. We even saw some wildlife; both birds and other four footed creatures.
We picked wild asparagus that grew through the stones along the old walls. My daughter was having fun taking pictures of the flowers.
Things were going so well. We started to explore the fields and farmhouses around us. The picture of the cave above comes from the inside of an abandoned farmhouse I thought was pretty cool. While I was taking that picture Anna dropped her cell phone into an old well. Don't ask.
Here is Anna trying to hit her cell phone with a stick. It was just out of reach; only an eight foot drop.
So we decided that we had to mount a rescue mission. Their was some disagreement on how to actually pull the cell phone from it's watery grave and whether or not a watering hole would destroy the cell phone. Anna was quit satisfied with jabbing it with a stick, but we could not help but attempt a rescue.
We each tried our own method. Erin and Marybeth attempted to fashion a picker-upper with plastic bag and rope. I made a basket with olive branches and a stick. Stefan helped Anna poke the cell phone with the stick. Eventually we had to give up in object failure. Though we had fun trying.
So we left this memorial to Anna's cell phone. If you look closely you can say it says "Finis Phone". Sad day. What fun we had on our little picnic in Italy!
